but I have used parallel desktop for about a week because my mac didn't like it. The mac version is actually the sims 2 Super collection (All these names are confusing ). It works really well with El Capitan 10.11.4 and it has all of the patches already applied and you can also get the latest Body Shop and Package Installer. I am of the opinion that you should get The Sims 2: Complete Collection. There would be problem with trying to apply the various patches needed as well, so I think you should just upgrade to the newest version. Also I am wondering if El Capitan is compatible with that old version even if it is an Intel version, you could try asking Aspyr about it I suppose.

If you had a Mac that was running OS 10.6x that is Snow Leopard you could update that version to the Intel version, but that may not be something that you can do. If the version your are trying to install is really old, it might be old enough to be not compatible because it wasn't Intel back then. The OS X version needs to be the Mac version from Aspyr that is a given. Also, this version of The sims 2 is pretty old and isn't from the Appstore (They sell the 'the sims 2 complete collection', which this version isn't). So my question is, is there a way to bypass this just like you could back with Mavericks and Yosemite? I also tried to run it through terminal and it keeps telling me about 'bad CPU'. (The bypassing trick isn't some sort of crack/no CD thing, it's just to avoid this error it will give you everytime you click on the application). But with El Captain, it seems that there is no way to either install it or do this bypass trick. I had this version of the sims installed back when Yosemite was out and I managed to bypass this issue where the sims 2 and it's EPS couldn't be installed by just clicking on the application. As I was installing the sims 2 on my sister's laptop, I started to notice that the installed keeps saying that the game isn't supported with this OSX version (which is the latest, El Captain).
